PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS OF GENDER MAINSTREAMING IN ORGANISATIONS and COMMUNITIES 


When properly addressed and implemented, gender mainstreaming is a transformative approach with a great potential for organisational and social change. ICTID Center`s gender mainstreaming experts will support you to build your longterm organisational strategy: where every step counts towards this change of approach, until it is fully and automatically integrated into organisational policy-making and policy implementation into practices towards gender equality.

We believe that, in order to be effective towards achieving participation of women and girls, boost women leadership and gender equality, gender mainstreaming must be institutionalised through concrete steps, mechanisms and processes in all parts of the organisational systems; or institutional programs.


We promote a philosophy of shared responsibility in gender mainstreaming, seeing it as a responsibility of all actors; relevant for all policy areas that deal with the needs of people and at all  levels.

Gender mainstreaming aims to solve –sometimes hidden- gender inequalities. It is therefore a tool for achieving gender equality.


Gender Mainstreaming Programs at the ICTIDC Gender mainstreaming seek to incorporate all gender perspectives and pay specific attention to the goal of promoting gender equality in organisational development, at the workplace, as well as in the design and delivery of educational and training programs for learners of all ages.
